The earrings are personal only. They’re often the tiniest piece of an outfit, but they can make the biggest impact with an edgy shape or a sentimental gemstone. And as anyone who has spent the past 18 months on Zoom knows, earrings are one of the few ways to communicate your personal style in a virtual world.
With fewer opportunities than usual to wear trendy earrings, it’s more important than ever to have a chic pair for everyday wear. But what really are the best earrings for everyday wear? We ask 10 jewelry designers to shop their lines for us, selecting the earrings they wear 24/7. Among the favorites of these experts, you will find the earrings that you will never want to leave.

“My favorite pair of earrings is our Sade hoops. There is no one more sexy and elegant inspiration than this beautiful singer, Sade. They are lightweight and effortless, but have a bold element that can be worn simply or as a statement. I barely notice them when I run to meet suppliers and customers. I like to start with a longer or bolder piece like the Sade as a base, then I gently layer a tiny diamond and shine as I walk around the curve of my ear with a chained earring and nail. I also have a cartilage piercing. I add a hoop paved with diamonds as my go-to. ”

âMy favorite everyday earring is the Huggie Mini Pavé Studs. It is perfect for first lobe piercings as a pair or stacked in second lobe piercings after a larger hoop. It is inexpensive but has l look really premium, and it’s durable and safe for sensitive ears. It’s a Studs bestseller, and I have them in all colors but I wear the clear most often. This one has an inside diameter of seven millimeters, but we also have them in [larger] sizes so you can listen to a cobblestone huggie stack your ear in graduated sizes for multiple holes. ”

âOur Bidu Fanned Studs go easily from day to night. I love how they can perform in any environment. But more importantly, each piece is handcrafted by our artisan partners in Kenya and directly supports their independent workshops. Knowing that they are beautiful and have beneficial value is the best part. “

“My favorite pair of ‘everyday earrings’ are often the most recent I’ve designed! Lately I’ve been wearing our brand new Mini Esme Pavé Studs. I only have one piercing in each. ear, so I love this stone the setting on these is eye-catching and super shiny, but the delicately curved design is surprising. The finish is high enough to work with a dressier look for dinner, but also brings a bit of extra oomph to a more casual or breezy summer t-shirt dress. ”

âProbably because I’m a jewelry designer, I have a lot of earrings to choose from every day. I usually try to mix things up, but this summer I found myself gravitating towards earrings on a daily basis. ‘Golden Arrow Threader ears from Auvere. I have sensitive skin, so I appreciate that these earrings are hypoallergenic due to their high gold content. I also love that they have a bold impact while being as light as a feather. I usually wear them with Double moon earring or the Lunar earring. The round shape and thickness of the Double Moon earring contrast nicely with the lightness of the threader earrings. In terms of style with outfits, the Golden Arrow Threaders are versatile. They’re casual and easy to wear with denim, but they look stylish and flirty with a light summer dress. ”

âFor starters, I never match my left and right earrings, a habit I’ve always had (symmetry isn’t my thing). Lately I’ve been wearing our Lioness Hoop earrings on my left ear as it is such a statement piece in itself. We designed this hand in hand with Kerry Washington, and it was a real labor of love. On my right ear with two piercings, I wear our Deco Fan Pearl earring, Love me the knot Headphones. I love to mix and match 14k gold, vermeil, pearls and diamonds, and I also love that our earring allows you to rock a cuff without that extra painful piercing. I’m on vacation right now and I’ve literally been wearing this headset all week – it’s perfect for everyday but also for going out. And it’s extremely comfortable, not an unnecessary luxury when you have two kids running around. ”

âChoosing a pair of earrings for me is next to impossible. I have to note that I have 17 piercings, so I think it’s fair to say it! Whatever the day (or occasion) you can find me in some kind of hoop, which at the moment is probably a big big diamond. If I can sprout a bit, they are a perfect diamond hoop. The stones are cut, and they have a greater width than a hug, so they’re big enough to stand out in an ear set but comfortable enough to wear all day. You can style them classically, side by side, if you have multiple piercings for a duet moment, or literally anywhere on the ear I can guarantee compliments will follow.

âThe Prima Ear Cuff and Threaders set are the earrings I use most often. Worn in this jumpsuit, they bring together things that I really love: curved lines, handcuffs and pearls. lightweight, which is so important when you have a busy day of activities. When I feel like my outfit needs a boost, I wear the pair on one ear, and sometimes I let a thread long and layer them with tiny diamond studs. (Mine are from Maria tash, from when I got the original piercings.) Or I can thread the threaders through both of my piercings for a double curl effect. But I also like being able to wear these pieces separately on my multiple piercings – I have four on each ear – so when I’m in the mood and have time, I’ll get along with other pieces. I wore the cuffs as bookends on a row of little hoops. Sometimes I stack a combo of a threader on the first piercing, a small hoop on the second piercing, and a stud on the third piercing. ”

âMy favorite earrings are our little long weekend hoops. I wear them almost every day! Before, I couldn’t wear earrings regularly because I am allergic to the metals found. in most fashion jewelry, but Tini Lux earrings are made from biocompatible materials which means they won’t irritate sensitive skin – not to mention these hoops are so light I can’t even feel them . Right now I’m really into the double hoop look so I usually wear them in the second one of our Braided Getaway Hoops in the first hole. I think it’s a little unexpected and cooler to have the smaller hoop in the front.

“My earring goals are easy and shiny. My number one, everyday, never take them off earrings are diamond hoops, especially our Snow Queen Hoops. They hug the ear and hoops perfectly. rose cut diamonds give off a more subdued flash. With multiple piercings, I like to balance the scale with something small next to it, like the Diamond Pinprick Stud, which almost looks like a diamond floating in your ear, a glow of light. And then a Baby Pearl Supreme Hoop– the doubling of my hoops is a deliberate balance, and this modernized pearl adds the right softness. ”
