Prince Harry’s Meghan Markle Eternity Ring Has Hidden Family Meaning


To mark their first wedding anniversary, Prince Harry, 37, gave Meghan Markle, 40, an eternity ring. The royal worked with renowned jeweler Lorraine Schwartz to design the bespoke ring and paid homage to himself, his wife and his firstborn by incorporating their birthstones. Now Steven Stone’s jewelry experts and crystal healing expert have discussed the meaning of the stones on the Eternity Ring.

The ring, which is a conflict-free diamond eternity ring, has three birthstones on the underside.

Meghan was born in August, the birthstone for this month is peridot.

According to experts, the green colored stone can help with “asthma, sinuses and alleviate diseases of the eyes, stomach, thyroid and liver”.

Prince Harry was born in September and the birthstone for that month is sapphire.

The deep blue stone is believed to “help improve mood, cure insomnia, and detoxify the blood.”

Meghan and Harry’s first child, Archie, 2, was born in May.

Emerald, a dark green birthstone, is attributed to May.

And it’s meant to “strengthen you to deal with anxiety, stress, depression, and insomnia.”

“Amethyst, along with peridot, is also believed to keep you motivated on your weight loss journey,” she told Hello! Magazine.

While working closely with Lorraine, a famous New York-based jeweler, the prince also had the opportunity to have Meghan’s engagement ring resized and reset – which features two stones that once belonged to her mother, Princess Diana. – with a new delicate diamond band.

Her incredible five-carat engagement ring is said to be worth £ 134,500.
